If you’ve been inspired by the volunteer firefighters you’ve seen here, we’re not surprised if you want to do more to help them. Here’s where you can learn more about our partner, the Canadian Volunteer Fire Services Association, as well as other ways to get involved in your community.
The Canadian Volunteer Fire Services Association is a non-partisan registered Canadian charity to support the voice and concerns of volunteer firefighters in Canada on national issues. The organization was created to benefit the community by maintaining and strengthening Canadian volunteer fire services through the provision of education and training, administration and organizational standards for volunteer firefighter units.
The Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs (CAFC) is the national public service association dedicated to reducing the loss of life and property from fire, and advancing the science and technology of the Fire and Emergency Service in Canada. Founded in 1909, the CAFC has a strategic alliance with the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council in Ontario, in educating Canadians about important fire safety behaviours.
The Quebec Association of Fire Chiefs is a not-for-profit organization whose focus is to bring together chiefs focused in the area of fire prevention and security. ACSIQ, in existence since 1968, has the mission of being the excellence standard for fire safety.
